Jokes on him, anyway.
This painting became significant to my relationship with gouache. Because less than a year ago, I didn't realize how to work with gouache at all. Several months later, I can even glaze with it. And the ones of you who ever tried gouache know that glazing is a pretty risky move when it comes to this medium. It's so fun to look back and realize that the things you thought you'd never be able to do now come to you so natural.
